Diabetes Support Group

Were you recently diagnosed with diabetes or know someone who has? Have been dealing with diabetes for some time and have questions? Know someone that has a lot of questions about diabetes?

The Salem Memorial District Hospital would like to cordially invite all Type I and Type II diabetics to be a part of our new diabetes support group meetings. Interested individuals and their loved ones are encouraged to participate in these interactive sessions for the purpose of educating and supporting one another. Our Registered Dietitian, Jason Edwards, will be facilitating these meetings and providing important discussions associated with diabetes. There will be multiple guest speakers throughout the program, such as pharmacists, social workers, nurses, wound care specialists and so on to provide thorough quality discussions. Your questions are important to us and we want to help you through this, together.

The meetings will every 4th Tuesday of the month beginning in May. All classes are free of charge and all interested individuals are welcome. Classes will begin at 1 pm and run for approximately 1 hour.
