Maintenance Technician II
The Maintenance Tech II will report to the Facilities Director and will be responsible for the proper management, repair, and safety of the facility and must be in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.
Additionally:
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed system
• Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and building repairs
• Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations
• Respond to emergencies
• Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken
• Review and understand equipment and methods of operation such as fire/life safety, and other systems
• Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
• Maintain compliance to City, County, State ordinances and codes
• Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
• Other assigned tasks as requested.
Academic, Certifications, & Trade Qualifications
• High school diploma required. Freon Certificate, Journeyman status through an appropriate apprentice – shop program and / or trade school graduate and / or 5-8 years on- the – job training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training preferred

• Major Construction, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Medical Gas Distribution, Welding, Painting,
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift at least 75 pounds, and move intermittently throughout the workday including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, reaching
• Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• May be required to lift equipment, supplies, etc.
• May be subjected to infectious diseases, waste, conditions, etc., including the potential exposure to the AIDS, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B Viruses
Working Conditions
• May experience long period of standing, walking, bending or stooping
• May work in poor weather conditions, such as cold, rain, heat and wind
• May be expected to load/unload equipment
• Can expect to be exposed to fumes, chemicals, hazardous drugs, materials that cause allergic reactions, physical agents, biohazardous materials, and noise.

• The ideal candidate has friendly and compassionate personality with experience in environmental and maintenance services and is able to provide assistance for a variety of patients who may have different mental capabilities, sometimes requiring creativity, in a professional manner and/or displays the aptitude to perform in this manner.
